Expert Profile:
Ma Jin is a researcher and doctoral supervisor, selected as a leading talent in scientific and technological innovation for the national "Ten Thousand Talents Program." She is the Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Criteria and Risk Assessment, the Chief Scientist of a National Key R&D Program, a member of the National Expert Committee for Ecological and Environmental Benchmarks, and the Vice Chairman of the Earth Environmental System Science Observation Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. She also serves as an editorial board member for Research of Environmental Sciences and Soil & Environmental Health, and as an adjunct professor at Beijing Normal University, Lanzhou University, and China University of Geosciences (Beijing).Her main research focuses on soil environmental benchmarks and soil environmental geochemistry. She has consecutively led two National Key R&D Program projects during the "13th Five-Year Plan" and "14th Five-Year Plan" periods, as well as other national-level research projects such as the General Program and special projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the first or corresponding author, she has published over 170 papers in domestic and international journals, including Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Environment International, Critical Reviews in Environmental Science and Technology, Science China Earth Sciences, Acta Pedologica Sinica, and Acta Geographica Sinica. She is the editor-in-chief of two monographs published by Science Press: Theoretical Methods of Soil Environmental Benchmarks and Standards in Major Developed Countries and Theory, Method, and Practice of Soil Environmental Benchmarks in China. She holds over 20 authorized patents and received the Second Prize of the Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award in 2022 (ranked 1st among 9 contributors) and the Scientific and Technological Innovation Team Award of the Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award in 2024 (ranked 2nd among 15 contributors).
